Hi, I’m Michelle!
Welcome to All Things Christopher, mommas! I’m Michelle, and I’m a mom. It’s the job title I’m proudest of, and honestly the one that keeps me the busiest.
This blog is named after my son, Christopher, the little guy who made me a momma on January 18, 2019 and turned my whole world upside down in the best possible way.
How this blog started
I started All Things Christopher when Christopher was a baby. I was a brand-new mom, running on zero sleep, Googling everything at 3 a.m., and wishing someone would just TELL me what I actually needed (and what I could skip). So I started writing it all down: the products that saved me, the real, messy, funny truth about pregnancy and birth, and everything in between.
Then life happened. A LOT of life.
Where I’ve been
Christopher was born a year before COVID, back when we lived in Los Angeles. In May 2020, in the middle of all that chaos, we packed up and moved to Omaha, Nebraska so I could attend Creighton School of Law. (Yes, law school with a toddler. Pray for me.)
Just after Christopher’s second birthday, I asked his pediatrician about speech therapy, and that was the beginning of a long road: speech therapy, evaluations, a language disorder diagnosis, ear tubes, a move to Apollo Beach, Florida to be near my parents, and finally, in August 2023, an autism diagnosis.
Around that time I threw myself into everything I could learn. We cleaned up his diet, and over the next year our journey included stem cell therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy and ABA therapy. In October 2024 we moved back to California. I tell the whole story (the scary parts, the hopeful parts, and the day he first said “mommy”) in Where I’ve Been: Our Story, and Why I’m Back.
Christopher today
Christopher is 7 now (8 in January!), and he is the light of my life. The little boy who wasn’t speaking now talks to me in full sentences. He’s thriving. We homeschool, and he’s working his way right up toward his peers’ grade level. He is our miracle child, and I don’t say that lightly.
Looking back on those baby days with what I know now has changed how I think about everything, from toys to tummy time. That’s a big part of why I’m relaunching this blog.
What you’ll find here
- New mom life: pregnancy, birth, recovery, and taking care of YOU.
- Newborn must-haves: honest lists of what you really need, by season and by stage, plus what I’d skip.
- Baby toys by age: developmental toys that make sense for your little one’s stage.
- Coming soon: autism parenting, homeschooling, and clean eating for kids, from a momma who has walked that road.
I’m a mom, not a doctor or a therapist. Everything I share about Christopher’s journey is our family’s personal experience, not medical advice. Every child is different, so please talk with your child’s pediatrician and care team about what’s right for yours.
